Clinical Research Support Unit

Introduction

The Clinical Research Support Unit of IRBLleida is located on the ground floor of the Biomedicine II building at IRBLleida.

The CRSU is a research support infrastructure whose aim is to provide researchers with the resources required, both human and material, for the conduct of clinical trials and other research projects, from the initial planning and start-up phases through to completion. The unit ensures the quality of its services and compliance with the principles set out in the Good Clinical Practice guidelines at all times.

To achieve this, it has a multidisciplinary team of professionals with extensive experience in the comprehensive management of clinical studies, including scientific, technical, regulatory, and methodological support. It also offers a dedicated infrastructure with facilities that support clinical research activities, including a monitoring room, medical consultation rooms, meeting rooms, office space, a laboratory/sample collection point, and facilities for the storage, control, supply, and dispensing of investigational medicinal products.

Since 2023, the Unit has been part of the Clinical Research Support Platform of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII), which has enabled it to become a member unit of the SCReN Platform (Spanish Clinical Research Network), coordinated and promoted by ISCIII.

Since November 2024, the CRSU has been certified under the ISO 9001:2015 standard, demonstrating its commitment to excellence, integrity, and scientific rigor, and positioning it as a benchmark in the management and development of high-quality clinical trials.
