Presentation
The Equality Comission is a permanent body whose purpose is to promote, monitor and contribute to the implementation of the institution's equality, diversity and non-discrimination policies.
The Committee ensures effective compliance with the principle of equality at IRBLleida and promotes actions aimed at eliminating any direct or indirect form of discrimination on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, sex characteristics, origin, religion, beliefs, disability or any other personal or social circumstance.
The Committee also contributes to raising awareness, providing information and advising staff on equality between women and men, LGTBI+ diversity and the prevention of any discriminatory conduct. Its members act under a commitment of confidentiality with regard to any information to which they may have access in the performance of their duties.
The Equality Committee is an advisory body to the Management in matters of equality and non-discrimination. Its actions and proposals are governed by the Regulations of the IRBLleida Equality Committee and by the applicable regulations in force.
Functions

To ensure effective compliance with the principle of equality at IRBLleida.

To raise awareness, inform and advise staff on the importance of incorporating equality between women and men into the institution's activity.

To draw up, promote and monitor the current IRBLleida Equality Plan, as well as to submit it for approval and registration, where applicable.

To draw up, promote and monitor the Plan of Measures for Equality and Non-Discrimination of LGTBI Persons.

To promote the active participation of staff in the preparation, development and monitoring of the Equality Plan and the LGTBI Plan.

To inform staff about the actions to be implemented in compliance with the Equality Plan and the LGTBI Plan.

To promote training and awareness-raising activities on equality, diversity, non-discrimination and gender-based violence.

To encourage the non-sexist and non-discriminatory use of language and images in institutional communication.

To contribute to incorporating a gender and diversity perspective into IRBLleida's activity, values and organisational culture.

To provide support, upon request, in the review of texts and images from a gender and equality perspective.
