On 13 September, IRBLleida's management attended a training session to introduce the different types of intellectual property and to go deeper into patents within the framework of the IRBLleida Innovation Plan 2023-2025, with the aim of accelerating innovation and cultural change in knowledge transfer.
The training was given by Sergio Escorza Treviño from the company Ungria Patentas y Marcas. PhD in Biology from the University of California, San Diego (USA), he is the director of the Patent Department at UNGRIA Patents and Trademarks, responsible for industrial property and strategic R&D&I alliances in companies in the biotechnology field, where he has worked at the interface between R&D&I, project development and coordination, and protection and transfer of results.
