Requirements

Degree in Biotechnology/Biomedicine or similar.
Master's degree in Biomedicine or similar.
Tasks to be carried out
The selected person will join the Metabolic Pathophysiology Group of IRBLleida, within the research line "Pathological mechanisms and new preclinical models in amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis research", to provide services within the framework of the following research projects:
- H11400002 - "Mapping the Hidden Roles: Subcellular Functions of TDP-43 and CSDE1 in Neurodegeneration and Cancer"
- PV10301 - "Humanised mouse models to study ATG4B cryptic exon involvement in ALS pathogenesis and its potential as disease biomarker (Hum4ALS)".
Some of the tasks that will be carried out are:
- Management of mouse colonies
- Isolation of intracellular membranes
- Subcellular fractionation
- RT-qPCR
- Western blot
- Sequencing support
- Cell cultures
It will be valued
Knowledge
- Certification of training to handle experimental animals.
- Certification of training to work in biosecurity campaigns with human samples.
Experience
- Experience in research in ALS.
- Experience in projects with similar themes.
- Experience in isolation of membranous subcellular fractions.
- Experience in the cellular and animal models contemplated in the projects.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blot, sequencing).
- Co-author of publications related to the research topic.
Competences
- Ability to organize, multitask and teamwork.
